Promise of the Day: 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7

in Promise of the Day

Today’s promise is 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7:

“It is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels.”

I AM all the defense you need.

Bitterness and thoughts of revenge are a huge waste of time and energy. Nothing escapes God’s attention, and no one escapes His judgment. But we, having the heart of our Savior, should pray that those who hurt us will turn from their sin, that they may be spared God’s wrath as we have been. This is the victory of Christ in us!

Heavenly Father, thank You for taking the burden of self-justification off my shoulders. In You I am justified. Help me to remember I am free to extend grace to those who hurt me. For Your Name’s sake. And in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
