Promise of the Day: Deuteronomy 29:29

in Promise of the Day

Today’s promise is Deuteronomy 29:29:

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

We all have secrets we want and need to share. But we can’t share them with just anyone, can we? Only through relationship can we get to know someone intimately enough to know what we can and cannot trust them with. God wants to share His secrets with us, but only His closest most transparent friends can He trust with His deepest secrets. Only those whose love for Him eclipses their need to be guarded and suspicious. The best secret of all is that to know Him is to love Him.

Have a victorious day in The Lord!

I love this post about secrets. My intimate moments with Christ are my favorite part of life. I had a fire in the fireplace last night and “soaked” with worship music. I felt so connected to Jesus. I love that He reveals Himself to us and our children! That’s the cry of my heart.

What a wonderful picture, Lynn! You know, I think our intimate times with The Lord are His favorite part, too!
