Promise of the Day: Isaiah 58:10

in Promise of the Day

Today’s promise is Isaiah 58:10:

If you extend your soul to the hungryFeed the Hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.”

Jesus is the Light of the World, because He lived His brief life on earth serving others. Why didn’t He burn out? Because He relied on His Father to restore and rejuvinate Him. He spent time on the mountain. If we don’t take time to plug in to our power source, our lights will eventually grow dim.

Heavenly Father, I want Your light to burn bightly in me. Help me to make spening time with You, praising You, worshipping You–and listening to You my top priority each day, that I might joyfully serve others and glorify You name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a victorious day in The Lord!
