Promise of the Day: Mark 12:33

in Promise of the Day

Today’s promise is Mark 12:33:

“And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”Jesus and the Scribe

When the scribe answered Jesus with these words, Jesus said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.”

Not far from it, but not there either. It’s not enough to know God’s will. Even Satan knows God’s will. That’s why he does everything he can to derail us. Because he also knows that all the power and glory of the Kingdom of God are released in the doing. As the Holy Spirit reveals God’s will to us, so He will give us all we need to act on His will when we trust and obey.

Heavenly Father, I repent for any and all ways I have allowed the enemy to rob me of Your power and glory, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, envy, self-hatred, or any other negative emotion toward myself and others. This day, I purpose and choose to trade in my filthy rags for Your robe of righteousness. I know that faith is a gift You alone can give, and I know You will not withhold any good thing from Your child. So, I ask You now, Lord, to give me the faith to love as You love, and leave the details to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Have a victorious day in The Lord!
