Promise of the Day: Matthew 12:37

in Promise of the Day

Today’s promise is Matthew 12:37:

“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Guard Your Mouth

Jesus knew that the spoken word  held the power of life and death. It was the spoken Word that created our universe, and every word we speak has the power to create and define our reality.  Are you lacking in joy, peace,  prosperity, and forgiveness? Listen more closely to the words you speak. Whether you realize it or not, everyone of the words you speak is imbedding itself in your heart, and is being released into the universe to manifest itself. Just as God’s Word does not return void, neither do our words. The question is, are they returning life, or death?

Heavenly Father, please keep a guard over my mouth and a watch over the door of my lips. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that I may be reminded to think before I speak and not allow pride, fear, fatigue, or discouragement or any other tool of the enemy rob me and others of Your grace and blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Have a victorious day in The Lord!
