Promise of the Day: Psalm 85:13

Blessings!

Today’s promise is Psalm 85:13:Footsteps of Jesus

“Righteousness will go before Him,
And shall make His footsteps our pathway.”

Jesus is our righteousness. Our justification remains ever in His presence. We cannot receive His righteousness, then turn and go our own way again and expect to remain righteous. To walk in righteousness is to walk in Him–continually. Notice this promise doesn’t say make His footprints our pathway, which would imply following, but His footsteps. Meaning that where He goes, we go with Him. In Him. And one thing is sure, Jesus never makes a wrong turn.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your righteousness! Draw me to your presence, Lord, and make Your footsteps my pathway, that I might remain in Your righteousness and never stray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a victorious day in The Lord!

Rebecca

Rebecca:
Thank you again for another reassuring reminder. I wish more believers would allow themselves to talk about doubt. It is part of the human condition, no matter how long one has been a Christian. This promise tells us that Righteousness is with us. Even if we doubt, even if we hurt, even if we feel isolated or lonely, Righteousness goes before us, and shall not lead us astray. He is indeed WITH us. Imperfect, insecure, or doubtful as we are, He is WITH us and goes before us. Even if we have doubt in ourselves, we know we can fully trust in Him and His promise to be near — always. Thank you for sharing this with us, and for continually reminding us of these beautiful promises. You are making a difference!
Yours in Christ, Don

Yes, Don,
What a comfort to know that we can rest in Christ’s strength and perfection!

Bless you, my friend!
