Promise of the Day: Revelation 3:20

in Promise of the Day

Today’s promise is Revelation 3:20:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Behold, I Stand

For years I thought this was an invitation to salvation. But Jesus wrote this promise to the church of Laodicea! The luke-warm church. This is a call to repentance and a deeper relationship with the Savior. This isn’t just invitation to the Wedding Feast, it’s a proposal of marriage! Jesus wants to set your heart on fire! Will you open the door?

Heavenly Father, I want to walk in Your presence every moment of every day! I want Your heart to be my heart! I want Your thoughts to be my thoughts! I want You to live in and through me! So, Lord, come on in! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Have a victorious day in the Lord!

Ok, so this is so cheesy: for New Year’s, I put on Paul McCartney’s “Let ’em In” and sang the lyrics loudly as I held open the front door, welcoming in the new year. I’m ready for whatever Papa has in store!
